Following exposure, cadmium in the kidney can increase progressively up to a critical level. At this level, kidney dysfunction can happen. What We Look ForA special urine test is given during the medical screening. This test is sensitive to the changes in kidney function induced by cadmium. The results of the urine tests will help to show the possibility of kidney damage as a result of cadmium exposure. If you test positive, you will be referred to your doctor or advised of the specialty consultation needed for any additional test or treatment.
