Owners, contractors, and workers need improved access to information on construction hazards and practical control alternatives. CPWR has developed a web-based database of hazardous exposures, risks, and control measures appropriate for construction. Construction Solutions allows for the construction community to learn about work hazards in construction via world wide web, that they can use to learn about potential risks of their work, as well as the work going on around them on construction sites. |

The Construction Solutions database is a free online database for owners, contractors and workers that highlights hazards in construction work, as well as control or reduce those hazards. This database will allow workers and contractors to identify hazards associated with construction tasks, and obtain options for controlling those hazards. An interactive website, Construction Solutions allows users to submit: reviews of existing solutions, suggestions for additional reviews or requests to assist us in continued development activity.
Each hazard and solution record in the Construction Solutions database has been authored by an expert in the health and safety field and reviewed by two additional experts before being posted on our live website.
Construction Solutions continues to grow and in the coming months will expand to include additional aspects of construction, more construction hazards, more options for controlling those hazards. It is an interactive database and our users are an important component. We provide an option for sharing your experiences about what works best. We encourage you to comment on those solutions you have actually used in the workplace, and ask that you let us know about solutions that you believe work well but are not yet listed. We encourage experts in health and safety, along with the construction community to visit the site to provide feedback that we can use in future development activity. For more information contact Terrance Roach at troach@cpwr.com.
Construction Solutions has released it's first trade group to the public, Masonry, Cement & Plaster. To view the database, submit review on existing records, or suggest new solutions, visit www.cpwrconstructionsolutions.org.
