Construction workers are one of the segments of the U.S. population opioids have hit hardest — recent state-level studies of show they are six to seven times more likely to die of an opioids overdose than workers in other professions. The new Quarterly Data Report looks at opioids use in construction, including overdoses on a job site, prevalence of prescribed opioid use and drug abuse, and the association of work-related injuries with prescription opioid use.
