Entrances and Check-in
There are two entrances to Constitution Center—650 D Street, S.W. and 400 7th Street S.W. Please arrive at the 650 D Street SW lobby entrance by 8:30 am. We will have escorts available at that lobby location.
Constitution Center is a high-security building. Upon arrival, please check in with the Security officer at the front desk. They will have a list of Centers Meeting attendees and pre-printed visitor badges available. A NIOSH DC employee will meet you at the Security desk to sign in visitors. You will then proceed through an airport-style security check. After clearing security, a NIOSH DC employee will walk you to the Conference Center on the first floor of Constitution Center.
US citizens must use State ID/Drivers License or Passport at the security checkpoint.
Non-US citizens must use a Passport at the security checkpoint. Non-US citizens must also be approved more than 30 days in advance to attend the meeting.

Metro
The closest metro station is L’Enfant Plaza metro station. The L’Enfant Plaza metro station is serviced by the blue, green, orange, yellow and silver lines. Upon arrival to the station, take the D Street exit. The 650 D Street SW lobby entrance is located directly above the D street exit of L’Enfant Plaza metro station when you get off the escalators.
Prohibited Items
Please note the below prohibited items that are not allowed in the facility.
Per Executive Order 12977 the following items are banned in United States facilities occupied by federal employees for non-military activities: Firearms, BB or Pellet guns, compressed air guns, antique firearms, flare guns, replica or toy firearms, spear guns, starter pistols, stun guns, cattle prods, dart firing stun guns, ammunition, axes, hatchets, bows, arrows, ice axes/picks, throwing stars, knives/sabers/swords with blade longer than 2 ½ inches, razor-type blades (box cutters, utility knives, razor blades not in cartridge (EXCLUDE SAFETY RAZORS), billy clubs, blackjacks, brass knuckles, chains longer than 12 in. (jewelry exceptions can be made), night sticks, martial arts weapons including nun chucks and kubatons, blasting caps, detonators, dynamite, nitroglycerin, fireworks, gun powder, hand grenades, mines, bombs, rockets, missiles, pipe bombs, plastic explosives, replica/realistic explosive devices, gas torches, flammable liquids, mace, pepper spray, tear gas, tear gas gun, other chemical sprays used for self-defense, spillable batteries (except ones used for wheelchairs/mobility devices), spray paint (unless meeting exemption 18 U.S.C. 930 (d)(3)) and poisonous gasses. No alcoholic beverages permitted.
Medical Devices
Security has informed us that, “for visitors with any medical conditions there will be different protocols. If an individual has on a medical device (i.e. pacemaker) the individual should first, inform officers of ANY condition. Person with pacemakers will not go through metal detectors. A visual check will be done.”
Meals/Beverages
No food or drink will be provided by the meeting. Attendees will be responsible for procuring their own lunch and beverages via the on-site Plaza East Café: https://plazaeastcafe.myncrsilver.com/. Meals may be ordered online for pick-up at a certain time.
Outside food and drink may come through security with you in the morning. Note that carrying additional bags with food and drink will increase security scanning time.
Due to security protocols, lunch breaks within Constitution Center are strongly recommended.
