RESEARCH NEWS
CPWR study finds lack of Personal Fall Arrest Systems a leading cause of fatalities

CPWR researchers examined 768 NIOSH FACE (Fatality Assessment and Control Evaluation) reports describing construction occupational fatalities. They found that falls accounted for 42% of the deaths described in the FACE reports, and that more than half the workers who died lacked access to Personal Fall Arrest Systems. Fatal falls and PFAS use in the construction industry: Findings from the NIOSH FACE reports appeared in Accident Analysis and Prevention. For a one-page summary of the key findings, CLICK HERE
