2018 Highlights: Research. Training. Service.
As the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health’s National Construction Center, CPWR continues to engage in original safety and health research for the construction industry, with a special emphasis on turning that research into practical solutions for the job site. For example, our release of a new Exposure Control Database that enables contractors to assess potential worker exposures to lead, silica, welding fumes, and noise during different construction tasks. We also expanded the number and types of resources we offer in Spanish, including our popular series of Toolbox Talks and the Foundations for Safety Leadership OSHA-30 elective curriculum, to meet the needs of a growing segment of the construction workforce.
Read more about these projects, and the many ways CPWR’s three primary divisions worked together to protect the health and safety of America’s construction workers during the past year, in our 2018 annual report - Highlights: Research, Training, Service.
