♦ US-based non-profits, for-profits, academic institutions, and individuals were eligible to apply.*
♦ Evidence-based technologies, work practices, and programs (interventions) submitted must have addressed one or more of the following construction hazards:
- Falls from heights to lower levels
- Causes of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs)
- Occupational Disease exposures
- Same-level slips, trips and falls
- Struck-by or caught-in/between risks
- Trenching and excavation
♦ The intervention must have been released (published, patented, or made available for use or sale) during the period from January 1, 2019 to February 29, 2020.**
*Interventions that involve a key contribution from an insurance sector organization were not eligible. Employees of CPWR or Liberty Mutual Insurance and its affiliates and subsidiaries, and the members of their immediate families and households, were not eligible to participate and win. The Award competition is void where prohibited by law.
**The Award competition assumes all entries were original and the Applicant either owns the work or has permission from an appropriate party to enter the work. In the event that an Applicant without such rights submitted an entry, the intervention will not be eligible for the Award. Liberty Mutual Insurance and CPWR are not liable for any copyright, trademark, or patent infringement on the part of any Applicant.
The Applicant grants to Liberty Mutual Insurance and CPWR the right to use the Applicant’s (and Applicant’s team members’) name, photograph, likeness, and biographical information in connection with the exercise of any right granted to Liberty Mutual Insurance and CPWR hereunder as it relates to the award and award process. Liberty Mutual Insurance and the CPWR may also use photographs, video, and audio of the conference, including any presentation by the Applicant, to promote the award and award process and Liberty Mutual Insurance’s and CPWR’s connection to the award and award process.
