OSHA Citations for Chemical Exposures in Construction

Construction workers often encounter harmful substances on the job site, including asbestos, lead, and respirable crystalline silica. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) enforces workplace standards to reduce exposure to these hazards.

This dashboard examines OSHA citations for violations of a standard related to asbestos (CFR 1910.1001 and CFR 1926.1101), lead (CFR 1910.1025 and CFR 1926.62), and silica (CFR 1910.1053 and CFR 1926.1153) in the construction industry. The dashboard does not include violations of state standards. Data are from the U.S. Department of Labor OSHA Enforcement Data.

Dashboard instructions and information on filters, charts, and definitions are included in the information icon Data Dashboard information icon located to the right of the dashboard title..

You can download the data as a spreadsheet. Each worksheet’s name is based on the corresponding dashboard chart. If you have questions or comments, please email [email protected].
