Data Dashboards

Women in Construction

Women represent a growing portion of the construction workforce, and that increase makes it even more important to have timely and accurate data that can guide safety and health interventions.

This story-dashboard contains two sets of charts, navigated by clicking either the blue caption boxes or the arrows at the top of the dashboard. They summarize trends on women construction workers covering:  1) Women in Construction and All Industries and 2) Characteristics of Women in Construction. Data are from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Current Population Survey (CPS) downloaded through IPUMS with calculations by the CPWR Data Center.

Information on specific charts and instructions for dashboard use are included in the information icon Data Dashboard information icon located to the right of each dashboard title. To get a full view of the dashboard on a mobile device, zoom out slightly and use landscape mode, which will provide a better navigation experience.

You can download the data as a spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is color-coded for each set of charts, and each worksheet name is based on the corresponding dashboard chart. If you have questions or comments, please email [email protected].
