General Forum Usage Rules

TRU-Net is an invitation-only forum designed to encourage construction safety and health researchers, and construction safety and health trainers to work together to advance the cause of reducing injury and fatality in our industry.  CPWR owns this forum, and as the owner we ask that all users treat each other with consideration and respect.  We set down these basic forum rules to govern our interaction, and to establish the basis for our administration of the forum.

CPWR does not necessarily endorse, support, sanction, encourage, verify, or agree with the comments, opinions, or statements posted on any associated or referenced message boards, discussion or forum communications.

You may not post or transmit on any message boards, forums or communications operated by CPWR any defamatory, harassing, abusive, obscene, profane, vulgar, sexually explicit, threatening, or illegal material, or any material containing blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, or hate.  To honor the serious focus of our forum, appropriate language shall be used at all times.

You agree not to place any material on TRU-Net that is junk mail, advertising, soliciting of a product or web site, or that is invasive of another’s privacy or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense, give rise to civil liability, or that otherwise violates any local, state, national or international law or regulation.  You agree to use any of the forum areas only for lawful purposes and you acknowledge that your failure to do so may cause your forum privileges to be suspended temporarily or revoked permanently.  You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material.  Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate to this forum.  CPWR reserves the right at our sole discretion (but we are not obligated) to edit, review, remove, or refuse to post any material that is submitted for display.

You agree that you use TRU-Net at your own risk.

You agree that postings you make are not private and may be reproduced in any manner by CPWR.

You agree to indemnify CPWR and TRU-Net, and our affiliates, employees, agents, and representatives, and to hold them harmless, for any and all claims and liabilities (including attorney fees) which may arise from your submissions or from your unauthorized use of material obtained through TRU-Net.

You agree that CPWR and TRU-Net may terminate Discussion Areas or terminate your ability to access TRU-Net, for any reason, without notice.

Note that it is impossible for us to confirm the validity of all posts on this forum.  Pleasae remember that we are not responsible for their content.  We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness or usefulness of any information presented.  The messages express the views of the author, not necessarily the views of this forum.  Anyone who feels that a posted message is objectionable is encouraged to notify an administrator or moderator of this forum immediately.  We have the right to remove objectionable content, within a reasonable time frame, if we determine that removal is necessary.  This is a manual process, however, so please realize that we may not be able to remove or edit particular messages immediately.  This policy goes for member profile information as well.

You have the ability, as you register, to choose your username.  We advise that you keep the name appropriate.  With this user account you are about to register, you agree to never give your password out to another member, for your protection and for validity reasons.  You also agree to NEVER use another member’s account to post messages or browse this forum.  You may register only ONE username on this forum.  Multiple usernames are not allowed and will be merged or deleted at our discretion.  If necessary, please contact an administrator to change your existing username rather than creating a new one.

After you register and log into this forum, you can fill out a detailed profile.  It is your responsibility to present clear and accurate information.

TRU-Net may provide links on this web site to other web sites or resources.  Because CPWR may have no control over such web sites and resources, you acknowledge and agree that TRU-Net and CPWR shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such site or resource.

Termination

CPWR may terminate this Agreement and/or deny you access to the web site at any time, with or without cause or notice.  It may do so for any amount of time or permanently at its discretion.

Miscellaneous

This Agreement is governed by the Laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its laws related to conflicts of law.  The provisions of this Agreement are severable, and in the event any provision hereof is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, such invalidity or unenforceability shall not in any way affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining provisions hereof.  In the event of legal action, any and all legal proceeding will take place in the State of Maryland and be governed by The Laws of the State of Maryland.

Your use of CPWR’s Forum, TRU-Net, is acknowledgement of all rules and conditions described here.  If you do not agree to these rules, you may not use CPWR’s TRU-Net forum.
